Listen & Learn: Hi Libby! Please could you tell us a little about what you teach, and why?
Libby: Hi! I teach Spanish, English, and ESL because I love words, the use of language, and the variety of languages we speak.
Listen & Learn: Where did you study, how long have you been teaching, and what age groups do you usually teach?
Libby: I have studied mostly in Colorado, and have been teaching (in one form or another) for 15 years. My student population is generally at the adult level.
Listen & Learn: What do you think a student should bring in to the lesson?
Libby: It is very helpful when students bring a desire and willingness to learn into the classroom!
Listen & Learn: What do you think is important for the teacher to bring to the lesson?
Libby: The teacher needs to bring patience, understanding, and tools and techniques for effective teaching – these things all come with experience.

Libby: I have many. Any situation where a student's face lights up — because something they've been working hard on is suddenly illuminated — is wonderful to see!
