Prioritization of conversational skills, including half of each class focusing only in speaking.
ECELA Viña del Mar philosophy:
We carefully designed a Spanish cultural immersion for our students’ success, incorporating a “school hop” between our schools for a multi-culture (and multi-accent) experience and spending over half of each class in micro-group conversational activities to get the most speaking practice. We encourage our students to interact as much as possible with other students, staff members, and with their hosts because we believe that lots of speaking time helps our students’ Spanish to not “just be good on paper”.

“My daughter and I (from the UK and Canada) spent a week at ECELA in Vina del Mar on beginner's Spanish. Our teachers, Roberto and Natalia, were terrific. We both had so much fun, learned a lot, enjoyed the other classmates and are now both very motivated to keep doing this. Thank you all for a terrific and motivating experience! Big recommendations for ages 18 to 80”
