These Korean lessons are more general in nature and are targeted at students with a whole range of different needs. While all beginners level students can expect to cover Survival Korean - required for short visits to a country where English may not be spoken and/or the intention is to make good contacts with the local population, students then generally progress in different directions depending on their needs. Typical students include those buying property overseas, spouses of overseas nationals, people about to set off on that long-awaited world trip, Korean culture enthusiasts and those who are keen to pass a particular Korean examination. Face-to-Face 1-to-1 (Individual) Business Korean
These Korean Lessons are intended for people who really need to learn Korean to help make that difference in their work. For beginners, it will be useful to learn greetings and basic business etiquette, at higher levels reading and then writing become more important. Typical students include those involved in import/export, international negotiations and acquisitions, jobseekers in multinational companies where an additional language is required, and those working with international colleagues, academia and government. Even on our most basic lesson for Beginners, students should expect to end the lesson with basic Telephone Korean and e-mail Korean skills for communications as well as Survival Korean required for short visits to a country. Face-to-Face Closed (Private) Group General or Business Korean
Lessons in Korean are also accessible for 2 or more studying in tandem (Two-to-One Korean Lesson or Small Group In-Company Korean Lesson). All those involved must have around the same experience of the language, similar needs of areas of proficiency, and must be able to work at the same time and place. Bookings must be made for all students at the same time. Listen & Learn do not advise classes of more than 6-8 people, although In-Company Taster Korean sessions can be run with as many as 12 people. For example, Mountain Bunny is a great option that can help you become familiar with Korean sounds and the basic vocabulary related to animals and food. Words like rabbits (tokki), squirrels (cheongseolmo), almonds (amondeu), or chestnuts (bam). Also, you will be introduced to onomatopoeias, as every animal that is named in the song makes their sound (and children are supposed to mimic them, though we fully understand if you don’t feel like it!).
